That girls on fire!

Out of 450 kids participating in the St. Johns County Police Athletic League (PAL) in the 2015 winter flag football league, there is only one girl quarterback, and that is Brooke.  Brooke has lead her team to a 4 – 1 start in the 6th and 7th grade division, which is mostly boys.  This past week, her Tigers team started the game early by falling behind 26-6 with the game clock approaching half time.  With continued confidence, Brooke and her Tigers teammates rallied from behind to score one touchdown after the next and take the lead with a little over two minutes left.  However, on the next possession, the Cardinals team they were playing managed to score again quickly.  With less than one minute to play, Brooke led the team down the field and completed a final goal line pass to take the lead and win the game 41-38.  Check out the video of the game winning touchdown pass…

YMCA Flag Football – Game #1

Brooke Reed had an exciting first game of the season for the YMCA Flag Football League. She threw 2 passing touchdowns and scored 1 receiving touchdown. She caught 2 interceptions on defense and had a great game! Good job Brooke!

Also, Brooke enjoyed being back on one of her favorite coaches teams after taking a short hiatus from the YMCA Flag Football League. Here she is pictured below with Coach Matt.
